About the Team and Role:

The Demo Experience Architect role at Klaviyo exists to create, maintain, and continuously improve the end-to-end demonstration experience for both our customers and our internal sales team. The vision is to build a Demo Experience system that is self service and automated to ensure that anyone who opts in will be equipped to continuously deliver a world class demo experience to any customer as Klaviyo evolves and grows. This role bridges product, product marketing, sales, enablement, and engineering to ensure that Klaviyo's product demonstrations consistently deliver compelling value narratives that drive business results. This role sits within the pre-sales Solutions Architect org and is a hybrid role with the expectation of 3 days per week in our downtown Boston office.

How You'll Make a Difference:

You must continuously ask yourself “What does pulling this across the finish line look like?”. This means:

  • A product cannot be released until it’s demo ready, which means the feature is integrated into the environment and populated with high quality data that tells a compelling story inline with our core messaging and value proposition. 
  • Sales is fully enabled and equipped to go into the market and solve business problems for our customers by using the demo assets at their disposal. The sales team should feel highly confident they’re weaponized more than their competitors and are able to use demos with effectiveness and efficiency  to win more and win faster  

The 3 core focus areas are: 

  1. Product Release Integration
    • Partner with Product teams to embed Demo Experience into the product release cycle ensuring no feature is considered shipped until it’s “Demo Ready”
    • Ensure new features are properly integrated into demo environments with production level data that tells a compelling story
    • Develop comprehensive demo kits for each release that include scripts, recordings, and value messaging
    • Contextualize new features within Klaviyo's broader product strategy and existing capabilities
    • Create enablement materials that translate technical capabilities into business value narratives
  2. Sales Demo Experience Tooling
    • Create tooling that streamlines demo preparation and delivery for the sales team. This includes owning and administering the Wiki page where our demo scripts, recordings, and messaging will live. Use this in partnership with Enablement to build a certification program.
    • Own communications and drive adoption of the Demo Experience Wiki - the one stop shop for all things Demo Experience & Engineering at Klaviyo. This also includes leveraging Klaviyo to track and automate the Demo Experience lifecycle.
    • Seek feedback from sales and continuously improve the resources available
    • Build and execute on the vision of automation and self service to support the global growth and scale of onboarding new AEs and ensuring ramped AEs continuously uplevel their product knowledge and demo ability
  3. Customer Demo Experience Tooling
    • Own the UI/UX components to ensure:
      • demos are aesthetically pleasing and deliver meaningful personalized demos. This means ensuring new features are properly integrated into demo environments with high quality data that tells a compelling story that fits in with Klaviyo’s broader message.
      • complementary assets enhance the overall demo experience (microsites, mobile applications, etc.)
    • Define and manage the intake process for custom demo requests, including qualification criteria
    • Establish SLAs and capacity management processes for custom demo delivery
    • Create reusable components from custom demos to enhance standard environments

Additional Key Responsibilities:

  • Market and amplify across the company the trajectory and success of the Demo Experience program. This includes wins, lessons learned, and impact delivered. 
  • Serve as the strategic leader for Klaviyo's overall demo experience, representing the voice of both customers and sales teams
  • Establish and communicate a vision for world-class product demonstrations that differentiate Klaviyo in competitive situations
  • Build cross-functional relationships with Product, Product Marketing, Engineering, Marketing, Solutions Architect, and Sales leadership
  • Define and track metrics that measure both the quality of demo experiences and their business impact
  • Create scalable processes that allow for consistent demo experiences as the organization grows
  • Advocate for necessary resources and investments to continuously elevate the demo experience
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in relevant programming/scripting languages (e.g., HTML, JavaScript, Python)
  • 3+ years of experience in technical roles related to sales engineering, demo engineering, or solutions engineering 
  • Experience building and maintaining demo environments or similar technical systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with marketing automation, e-commerce platforms, or related SaaS technologies preferred

Our salary range reflects the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets. The range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all our US locations. The base salary offered for this position is determined by several factors, including the applicant’s job-related skills, relevant experience, education or training, and work location.

In addition to base salary, our total compensation package may include participation in the company’s annual cash bonus plan, variable compensation (OTE) for sales and customer success roles, equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive range of health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits based on eligibility. Base Pay Range For US Locations:$112,000—$168,000 USD
