Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with quota-carrying cloud or software sales, or account management at a B2B software company.
  • Leadership experience, such as people management, team lead, mentorship, or coaching.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Leadership experience building high-performing teams in an engaged environment.
  • Experience leveraging cross-functional leaders including engineering, marketing, partner sales managers, external partners and solution specialists to build and implement sales strategies that yield positive business outcomes and results.
  • Experience leading a team to grow the businesses.
  • Experience leading a team of sellers working with customers that span multiple industries and aligning technology solutions to drive high value business outcomes.
  • Knowledge of Startup customers and the differentiated value that Google Cloud can provide these clients.

As a Field Sales Leader for the Startup Sales organization for key customers in Socal and West you will build, grow and manage a team of expert Sales Representatives, working to drive awareness, adoption, and growth. You will lead your team to drive and accelerate consumption and usage of Google Cloud technologies with Venture-Backed startups that are well-funded and require bespoke and focused engagement to adopt Google Cloud as their platform of choice. You will participate actively in all aspects of building the business, including attainment of assigned objectives, business planning, demand generation, account engagement, and acquisition/account-based marketing activities. You will also act as a market ambassador for Google Cloud in the startup ecosystem, including frequent engagement with venture capital firms, incubators/accelerators, and founder communities.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$200,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Lead and implement go-to-market (GTM) strategies in the SoCal and West market with a focus on all stages of VC-backed startups; work with Customer Engineering, Marketing, Demand Generation, Solutions, Product and Engineering teams to produce a focused value proposition and sales GTM.
  • Lead a team of promoters in the SoCal and West market to deliver top line business growth, and grow business of existing Startup GCP customers. Create and implement strategies that guide your business to drive business growth, in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Act as a spokesperson inside and outside Google Cloud - specifically, participate in startup ecosystem events and programs to increase the awareness and understanding of Google Cloud in the SoCal and West startup ecosystem.
  • Build and maintain relationships to influence long-term tactical direction; act as an advisor to customers.
