Job Description

As a Trade Support Specialist at IMC, you will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, serving as a critical connection between our traders, sales team, direct counterparties, clearers, and the Mid Office team. Your responsibilities will include providing support to traders, facilitating communication with counterparties and clearers, ensuring compliance with exchange reporting rules and best practices, and maintaining accurate trading records and data.

In this multifaceted role, you will work closely with IMC traders and sales supporting the off-screen trading business by interacting with direct counterparty requests, IMCs off screen trading systems and block trade crossing functions. You will contribute to IMCs data integrity and automation projects to improve our manual processes. 

Your Core Responsibilities: 

  • Assist the traders in their daily work by providing operational support across our positional taking and sales teams.
  • Engage with internal and external counterparties parties over the phone and Bloomberg to ensure the smooth operations of direct trading between IMC and our trading counterparties.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with trading and sales desks.
  • Improve data accuracy and operational efficiency by effectively facilitating block trade execution for traders. 
  • Maintain accurate data gathering in our systems, based on available data sources and talking to counterparties using Bloomberg, Python notebooks and Excel. 
  • Enhance data by identifying inconsistencies and investigating root causes.

Your Skills and Experience: 

  • 3 -5 years of experience in front office, middle office, back office or risk management roles working with exchange-traded and over-the-counter products and derivatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration or equivalent.
  • Strong affinity in working with numbers and demonstrated ability to analyse problems and implement solutions.
  • Experience with futures, futures options, and/or OTC products preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Keen interest in financial markets.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Python is a plus.
