Garda Capital Partners (Garda) is a multi-billion dollar alternative investment firm with over 20 years of experience deploying relative value strategies across fixed income markets for institutional investors. Garda has offices in Wayzata, New York City, West Palm Beach, Geneva, Zug, Copenhagen, Singapore, and Scottsdale.
Garda is looking for a Risk Analyst to join the team in New York.
Position Responsibilities:
- Designing and/or developing quantitative/analytic models to help monitor and manage risk
- Monitoring and analyzing risk exposures on both a day-to-day and long-term basis
- Working independently on complex/important risk management projects
- Develop expertise in the firm's products, trading strategies and market characteristics
- Communication of risk factors to CRO and broader Risk Management team
Qualifications & Desired Skills:
- 4-year degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field
- Knowledge and interest in financial markets
- Strong excel skills and demonstrated analytical skills
- Experience with object-oriented development using Python
- Detail-oriented nature with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Critical thinking, strong attention to detail and independent problem solving skills
- Intellectual curiosity and motivation to innovate and improve
- Ability to work effectively in a high-energy, time sensitive team environment
- Ability and willingness to work unconventional hours
- Knowledge of fixed income trading and related financial instruments including bonds and interest rate derivative products are preferred, but not required
This role is also eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, healthcare plan, 401(k) matching program, etc. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education.
Base Salary for this role is expected to be between:
$90,000—$110,000 USD
