WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Senior Security Engineer at Optiver, you will play a pivotal role within our global security team, actively working to protect our systems and infrastructure. In this role, you’ll have the chance to apply your cybersecurity expertise, analytical thinking, and collaborative skills to address complex security challenges. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to oversee and mentor a small team of security engineers within one of our offices, ensuring that their work aligns with our global security strategy.

• Security Oversight: Lead and contribute to the monitoring and management of security operations, ensuring our systems are safeguarded against potential threats.
• Analyze and Mitigate Risks: Utilize your analytical skills to identify vulnerabilities, develop mitigation strategies, and enhance our overall security posture.
• Team Leadership: Guide a local team of security engineers, fostering their development and ensuring effective collaboration within our organization.
• Collaborative Security: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, and business units, to implement and maintain security best practices.
• Incident Management: Take charge in security incident response, coordinating efforts across global teams to swiftly resolve incidents.

WHO YOU ARE

• Experienced Security Professional: Prior experience in a security engineering role, with a focus on hands-on security tasks such as incident response, risk management, and monitoring.
• Team Leader: Proven ability to lead and mentor other security professionals, with experience in overseeing security teams or projects.
• Analytical Thinker: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a talent for developing practical solutions to complex security challenges.
• Technically Skilled: Proficient in using security tools and technologies related to network security, endpoint protection, and log management.
• Collaborative Communicator: Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively across various teams and disciplines.
