Accounts Payable Specialist - Amsterdam

The Accounts Payable at Maverick Derivatives is part of the Business Operations department and, together with our Financial Controller, manages the financial administration.  

Further responsibilities are outlined below.

Responsibilities

• Assure timely payment of invoices and manage the financial administration;
• Manage the General Ledger Accounts;
• Prepare the bank and the inter-company reconciliations;
• Review and process employee expense reports;
• Assist with month-end closing and monthly report preparations;
• Prepare the VAT return;
• Assist with the Audit;
• Support the Financial Controller on various projects.

What we’re looking for 

• Available for 32-40 hours per week (hybrid);
• At least 3 years of work experience in a similar role;
• Good command of Excel;
• Experience using Exact Online and, preferably, another accounting software;
• Experience managing a General Ledger;
• Good knowledge of Dutch VAT rules and regulations;
• Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written English;
• Strong attention to detail;
• A self-starter and a good team-player.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Dutch GAAP;
• Communication skills in Dutch.

The interview process

• Introductory interview with the recruitment team (Duration: 30 minutes);
• Interview with our Financial Controller (Duration: 45 minutes);
• Interview with our CCO (Duration: 30 minutes).
