About the Role

Join our team of passionate and world-class engineers to help empower our customers to  harness the power of AI! As a member of the Alignerr engineering team, you'll be at the forefront of developing an internet-scale platform for hiring and onboarding highly skilled individuals in specialized domains from across the world, to train and tutor AI. You will work closely with sister teams within Labelbox engineering to develop features and capabilities that these AI trainers will execute on within the Labelbox AI platform.

You'll use your full-stack expertise to collaborate with talented engineers and designers to build elegant, reusable components and construct robust, scalable systems. You'll be a driving force behind our success, balancing groundbreaking innovation with practical implementation to meet the evolving needs of our customers. Your Day to Day

  • Empower the future of AI alignment: Develop user-friendly interfaces enabling highly-skilled individuals in specialized fields tutor AI for developing powerful LLMs.
  • Be a driving force in a high-impact team: Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to bring features to life, squash bugs, while consistently keeping tech debt in check. 
  • Crack the code: Tackle complex technical challenges that demand sharp problem-solving skills and a knack for navigating ambiguous territory. 
  • Be a customer champion: Partner with our support team to address customer questions and provide elegant solutions to their challenges. 
  • Own your code: Join our support rotation, ensuring our systems run smoothly around the clock. 
  • Drive impactful change: Take the initiative to propose and implement process improvements, elevating the efficiency and impact of our engineering team. 
  • Document your wisdom: Share your expertise by authoring and reviewing technical documents, guaranteeing the delivery of robust and well-defined solutions.

About You

  • 2+ years of full-stack engineering expertise, with a passion for crafting exceptional user experiences on the frontend and building scalable and reliable systems, ensuring a seamless user journey. 
  • Proficient in Typescript, Node.js, GraphQL. Comfortable with Python, Kubernetes, and GCP (MySQL, Spanner, GCS, PubSub). You've honed your skills in leveraging these technologies over 2+ years to architect robust and efficient solutions. 
  • 2+ years of experience in frontend frameworks such as React/Redux, Angular. Adept at translating designs into responsive and interactive user interfaces.
  • Strong ownership mentality, fearlessly pushing boundaries to elevate your team and Labelbox's offerings. Your commitment to customer satisfaction drives you to explore innovative solutions. 
  • A self-starter who thrives in a dynamic and agile environment and takes the initiative to get things done. You excel at devising elegant and streamlined solutions for complex challenges. 
  • Excel at writing high-quality code with a focus on test coverage and taking a disciplined approach towards timely delivery of commitments.
