Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity or corporate advisory experience in a technology/media company or 8 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 5 years of experience working with executive stakeholders.
  • Experience in people management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA, or Master's degree, or equivalent practical experience in a technical, quantitative, or a business field.
  • Experience managing senior stakeholder relationships and working cross-functionally within global organizations.
  • Experience working as a Manager.
  • Ability to understand and articulate to executive teams, while maintaining excellent attention to execution details.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to facilitate meetings with executives and business partners across multiple functions in an organization.
  • Excellent program management, problem-solving, prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.

The Global Business Strategy and Operations (GBS&O) is part of the Global Go-to-Market (GTM) organization that ensures Google's complex business is pursuing the best strategy and executing flawlessly. Team members are experts in business strategy and operations - analytical and strategic.

The function comprises critical strategic and operational teams that accelerate Google’s performance including a) the Organizational Strategy and Business Operations team that supports Google’s Chief Business Officer and Chief Operating Officer b) go-to-market strategy and analytics, c) Risk and Compliance, d) Ads Policy operations and, e) Product strategy and operations go-to-market.

We are looking for a Strategy and Operations Lead to support the Organizational Strategy and Business Operations team for Global Business Organization (GBO) and Go-to-Market (GTM).

The Global Business Strategy (GBS) team helps make Google's complex business organization run smoothly. The group drives core planning activities and develops frameworks to integrate global business strategies across the Sales, Marketing, and Partnerships organizations. Experts in both Google’s go to market organization and the industries where we compete, they drive strategic and operational improvements while working closely with Senior Leadership on a range of critical initiatives and projects. The GBS team is at the forefront of addressing the Business organization’s most strategic priorities, reporting and working directly for Google's Chief Business Officer.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $221,000-$314,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Advocate, amplify and execute on initiatives, bring in new perspectives and lead the change management with our stakeholders.
  • Deliver strategy projects and initiatives for executives (including for Senior Vice President of GBO, Vice President of GTM), support executive engagements and communications, lead Annual Planning activities, support shaping the agenda for cadence of executive meetings.
  • Partner with teams across GBO, GTM, and cross-functional stakeholders including Finance, PeopleOps, Communications.
  • Learn from senior leaders and work with them to address both the top challenges and opportunities for our business, and be in the “room where it happens” when decisions are made.
