Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 15 years of experience as an engineering leader.
  
• Experience motivating others by creating a shared sense of vision and purpose.
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Engineering.
  
• Experience working with AI: evals, model validation and model deployments.
  
• Understanding of Google engineering stack.
  
• Ability to identify connections, adopt different perspectives, and quickly respond to changing circumstances in a strategic way.
  
• Comfort with changing specifications or standards, and ability to create conditions in which the team feels comfortable and capable of working through in response to ambiguity.
  
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills that drive executional impact at scale.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $278,000-$399,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. • Own and set the strategy, roadmap, and implementation for multiple areas of focus, balancing short- and long-term priorities against various business needs. Build a strategy for AI both for driving development experience as well as enabling amazing AI product experiences.
  
• Collaborate with partner engineering teams within Workspace and across Google, and cross-functional teams to ensure that the work is aligned with overarching goals.
