The Role
As Netflix continues to evolve and the complexity of our organization grows, we are looking for a Director, Talent Management APAC. Our Talent Management team at Netflix plays a key role in helping increase talent density faster than business complexity - unlocking the potential of our stunning colleagues to help us entertain the world and build a wildly successful business. Our work is centered around delivering few, but impactful, global and local strategies to help our leaders and employees get a bit better each day. In this effort, we have a Talent Management team, led by a Regional Lead, dedicated to each of our four geographic regions - Latin America, Asia Pacific, Europe Middle East and Africa, and the United States and Canada. This position plays a strategic role in partnering with business-facing HR teams to help us deliver our global Talent Management plan while also supporting unique local needs.
This role can be based out of Tokyo, Korea, Mumbai, Singapore and will report to the VP of Talent for APAC.
Responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to
Member of Netflix's Talent Management Leadership team, adapting and delivering global Talent Management strategies to the region that drive excellence while ensuring a consistent and equitable employee experience.
Regional Lead of APAC Talent Management team; allocating roles and responsibilities to support regional and targeted country/market needs
Strategic partner and connector to Regional and/or Functional Heads of Talent and HR Partner teams responsible for delivering on Talent Management initiatives
Develops regional priority and delivery strategy inclusive of global, regional, country, and/or functional priorities by informing how best to address and balance global and local needs (ie local adaptation of global solution vs local bespoke solution)
Engages regularly with regional stakeholders to receive feedback, align strategy, share progress, and set expectations across Talent Management priority-set; sharing insights back with global team members
Establishes scalable delivery and communication methods in support of region-wide and country-specific learning and team effectiveness needs, facilitating Global > Regional programs and high impact workshops and events as needed
Leads organizational readiness planning in partnership with global Talent Management team members to deploy global initiatives/solutions to the region
Gathers insights from local HR Partner teams and leaders through annual planning activities and ongoing pulse-checks for the region, using themes to share with global Talent Management teams to influence new and existing programs and initiatives
Is a liaison and voice of their region to global Talent Management leaders, aiding in the co-design of global initiatives and solutions; provides ongoing feedback loops to and from the business after implementation to inform next iteration
Shares local pilots and solutions with broader team members on an ongoing basis; sometimes designing and developing local solutions in support of piloting future global initiatives or solving for bespoke business or market needs
Requirements for the Role

Experience
12+ years of experience in HR, Talent Management and/or Learning and Organizational Development, preferably in an international and large scale corporation.
Experience with working in APAC and an understanding of key markets like Japan, Korea & India
Highly experienced in designing and implementing complex local, national and/or regional strategies.
Familiarity with the nuances of the region, including main players in the Talent Management/Learning fields.
Excellent influence, presentation, and communication skills for both in-person and virtual environment.
Experience collaborating with HR partner teams, business leaders and subject matter experts to design innovative talent management and learning solutions.
Experienced working within an agile and design thinking model.
Experience as a people manager of a regionally distributed, diverse team.
