Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience working in a hardware technical environment, or 3 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience with Optics Engineering.
  • Experience with Display Optics.
  • Experience with System Architecture and design.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP).

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Define system/sub-system/component-level specifications for new eye displays and related systems.
  • Evaluate, design, and improve waveguide based near-eye display systems.
  • Align current efforts with cross-functional teams across System, PD, software, imaging, and optics.
  • Support internal optics modeling and simulation efforts.
  • Work with internal and external cross-functional partners to explore existing and novel optical architectures, for near-eye display and related applications.
