At 1Password, our accounting team strives to analyze every business transaction and study all of the underlying aspects of relevant guidance before reaching conclusions that are meant to help users of financial statements to understand our company and its performance. The Director, Technical Accounting will initially operate as an individual contributor and will own accounting conclusions on all technical topics. This individual will collaborate with Revenue Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Tax, Sales Operations, Deal Desk, and many other functions within 1Password. They will play a significant role in due diligence, integration, and other post-closing tasks for any merger & acquisition transactions we might pursue. They will also represent the Chief Accounting Officer and the Accounting department in cross-departmental discussions around ad hoc significant transactions.

The selected individual will closely partner with the leader of External Reporting on quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial reporting assignments.

This role will report into the Chief Accounting Officer.

This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.
