Reporting to the Growth Sales Manager, the Growth Development Representative (GDR) role is responsible for partnering with Hunter Account Executives and driving growth in our greenfield Enterprise customer cohort in the Middle East region. In this role, you will be focused on finding, enabling, and growing new use cases on Databricks, working to understand the business and technical requirements of accounts, and translating this into value-based partnerships, building Databricks into the account's long-term technology strategy.

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who has a history of performance in prospecting roles, who has started their journey in AE roles in the cloud and/or SaaS space and is a fluent Arabic speaker.

For Databricks, this role is a direct source of talent pipeline for our Start-up AE teams and will be a great opportunity to learn the sales skills and business acumen to develop accounts, specifically focused on a consumption-based sales motion.

 

The impact you will have:

  • You will assess your territory and develop a successful execution strategy in your first 60 days.
  • You will build a prioritized territory plan to ensure focus on our areas of the highest potential.
  • You will accelerate the usage of Databricks in our early-stage customers by engaging with them and helping them use the platform.
  • You will work with regional system integrators and hyperscalers to help customers build an excellent data and AI strategy.
  • You will ensure high-growth customers graduate back to the account owner with an understanding of the customer’s key priorities, challenges, and upcoming projects.
  • You will exceed quarterly revenue targets.

  • Demonstrated ability to proactively generate opportunities & consistently establish next steps through the sales process.
  • Experience at high-growth and successful companies/organizations.
  • Quota over-achievement.
  • Experience driving successful adoption of usage-based subscription services.
  • Understanding how businesses operate and make decisions with a view to understanding and aligning with their priorities.
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies and processes, ability to proactively generate opportunities with actionable next steps, strong champion builders, and trusted advisors.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is required, preferably from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, or Lebanon.
