At Clear Street:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing and securing global financial networks, providing both internal and external support for our network infrastructure.

You will be the first representative for the  IT team in the European region.  The focus will be on expanding and managing the regional network as part of the global infrastructure.  In addition, you will act as boots on the ground if any general IT support is required  .   You will collaborate with technical and non technical stakeholders in an ongoing effort to optimize on efficiency and user experiences.  

 

You Will:

  • Lead network design, deployment, and support for highly scalable and secure global network infrastructures.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot intricate network issues, utilizing deep expertise in BGP and system-level analysis to resolve latency-sensitive problems.
  • Perform advanced packet analysis and troubleshooting, ensuring optimal performance in high-stakes, low-latency environments.
  • Collaborate closely with systems engineering, desktop support, and development teams to create seamless cross-functional solutions.
  • Engage in full lifecycle network buildout—from initial design through deployment to long-term support—while ensuring system resilience and scalability.
  • Conduct system and design testing to ensure performance meets the highest standards.
  • Operate independently with minimal supervision, while also working as part of a global team to drive major company initiatives.
  • Support and manage FortiGate and Palo Alto firewalls, including VPN clients using GlobalProtect, to maintain secure, reliable network access.
  • Manage and optimize wireless network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity and performance.
  • Lead network setup and support for new office installations, ensuring smooth and efficient deployment of network services.
  • Expand our Global Office and Datacenter footprint

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience with BGP, routing protocols, and troubleshooting at a high level.
  • Expertise in diagnosing complex network issues, with strong skills in packet analysis and resolving latency-sensitive challenges.
  • Proven track record in designing, deploying, and supporting network infrastructures, with the ability to lead projects from concept to completion.
  • Familiarity with firewall management and VPN solutions, particularly FortiGate, Palo Alto, and GlobalProtect.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with cloud environments (especially AWS) and the ability to design and manage global cloud WANs.
