## **About the Role**
This is an excellent opportunity for an intellectually curious benefits financial professional to gain experience managing the Global Benefits fringe budget, while also providing program oversight for some of Uber’s global benefit programs.
This person will join the Global Benefits Operations team, being responsible for financial pricing, budget management for 60+ countries, stakeholder management, and program management. They will also partner closely with the Strategic Finance Teams, Accounting, Tax and Payroll Teams, in addition to Uber’s third-party vendors and actuarial consultants. ## **What You’ll Do**
- Project lead for managing the Global Benefits fringe budget including developing the global budget, populating dashboards and reports for Finance, helping develop forecasts, calculating PEPY by country, reconciling spend to forecasted budget, and partnering with the US Benefits actuaries to review underwriting and projections.
- Communicate and partner with a diverse set of international stakeholders and business partners in Finance, Tax, Compensation, Accounting, Benefits, Legal and Global Payroll. Help coordinate key decision-makers to take action and ensure compliance.
- Monitor spend through the accounting system such as set up of purchase orders, payment of vendor invoices and reconciling spend to budget
- Identify and implement methods to automate and optimize existing processes and operations, driving improvements in budgeting processes to ensure efficiency and scalability
- Lead global benefits projects from discovery and design through to completion - develop the project plan, work with engineers, conduct meetings with business partners and drive to completion (e.g., M&A, oversee financial global programs)
- Help present complex financial and actuarial analysis results in a clear and easily understandable manner for the leadership team
## **Basic Qualifications**
- 7+ years of benefits / consulting / finance or related experience; Global, International and/or US benefits experience working with financial budget projections and/or cost analyses required
## **Preferred Qualifications**
- Strong excel skills, developing complex financial models. Ability to think multidimensional about numbers
- Forward-thinking, analytical, detailed-oriented and a critical thinker
- Personable, collaborative, and team oriented. Ability to take directions well but think independently
- Actuarial or underwriting experience preferred
- Working in high-growth environments a plus
- Strong project management skills to handle complex projects simultaneously
- Ability to work well under pressure, with proven time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and organize complex information. Able to execute in ambiguity.
- Strong verbal, and presentation skills
- Ability to work across different levels and functions to build relationships with key stakeholders and champions
- Self-driven. You have superior organizational skills, integrity and great follow through on tasks.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$142,000 per year - USD$158,000 per year.
