**_This position is a hybrid role (in office 50% of the time) and you must be located in or willing to relocate to San Francisco, Dallas or Chicago._** ​​ **About the Role** At Uber, the Travel & Expense Team aims to deliver efficient services with high customer satisfaction while maximizing policy compliance and savings. The Travel & Meetings Manager will oversee Uber’s Global Travel & Meetings program and manage the service delivery relationships with service providers to optimize program performance, enhance user experience, and ensure the best possible value and service for Uber! The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the travel industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple supplier relationships effectively while driving process improvements to enhance the travel & meetings programs.  This role reports to the Global Head of Travel and Expense. **What You’ll Do** **Operational Management** - Oversee day-to-day travel & meeting operations, ensuring efficient and effective processes - Lead JIRA service desk management of travel & meetings inquiries (SLAs, macros) - Implement travel & meetings policy updates & changes - Oversee the travel agency operations and drive enhancements from a configuration, service & user experience perspective - Optimize online booking tool adoption for travel & meetings platforms - Engage with stakeholders, travelers and travel arrangers, office managers, country and city teams to help shape preferred airline and hotel selection. - Implement innovative solutions to improve travel & meetings operations & enhance supplier management processes. - Ensure SLAs metrics are met & well managed with stakeholders. **Vendor and Supplier Management** - Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, including airlines, hotels, car rental companies, travel agencies & venue sourcing companies. - Manage and drive performance of preferred suppliers and conduct quarterly performance reviews **Compliance and Reporting** - Ensure compliance with travel policies, legal regulations, and industry standards. - Prepare and present regular reports on travel & meetings operations and performance metrics. - Conduct audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. - Reinforce standard operating procedures and policies across travel & meetings  programs to drive compliance **Collaboration and Communication** - Partner with global and regional stakeholders to optimize program performance and resolve business and operational issues in an innovative, efficient and effective manner (Travel Security, Legal, HR, IT, Sourcing, Analytics). - Partner with the Travel & Expense teams to support new program launches and ad-hoc projects - Communicate supplier-related updates and changes to relevant teams and departments. - Provide training and support to employees on travel supplier-related matters. **Team Leadership** - Lead a high performing team that is focused on mission, goals, results, customer service and doing the right thing for the company. - Consistently lead cohesive team meetings that evokes strategy, inclusiveness, accountability, empowerment and growth. - Effectively mentor, train and upskill team members; placing high priority in professional development, goal setting, recognition, and retention. **Basic Qualifications** - Bachelor’s degree & 5+ years' progressive experience in Travel teams, preferably in a global shared services environment; OR 7+ years' progressive experience in Travel teams, preferably in a global shared services environment **Preferred Qualifications** - GTP/GLP Certification strongly preferred - Demonstrated experience in optimizing supplier performance driven with an analytical mind and strong business acumen - Excellent knowledge and understanding of international travel regulations and customs - Ability to manage and mentor team members to coach/train and up-skill - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience in presenting insights to employees, internal departments, and senior management audiences - The ability to simultaneously manage multiple initiatives while making a day-to-day difference - A team oriented player. You will be interfacing with all levels of Uber employees, partners and vendors - Hands on experience and willingness to be “in the weeds” - Ability to work in a high-paced, deadline driven culture - Intermediate project management and time management skills - Intermediate analytical and critical thinking skills - Intermediate Microsoft Office PowerPoint and Word skills For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$114,000 per year - USD$127,000 per year. For Dallas, TX-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$114,000 per year - USD$127,000 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$127,000 per year - USD$141,000 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
