The Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) organization is responsible for creating the spaces that inspire Amazonians to make history. The globally diverse team manages Amazon’s corporate offices in more than 60 countries. Within GREF, the Global Real Estate & Facilities Intelligence and Digital Experience (GREF IDX) team empowers GREF with the data they need to make better business decisions, manage the Amazon real estate portfolio and deliver a positive employee experience. We are on a mission to use data to inform where, when and with whom work gets done at Amazon.
As a Technical Program Manager, Level 5 within the Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) organization at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in driving the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic technical programs that enable the GREF business to achieve its objectives. You will leverage your strong program management skills and technical expertise to lead cross-functional teams and ensure the successful implementation of complex initiatives for the GREF organization.
Key job responsibilities
• Define and manage the program roadmap for a GREF organization, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and technical requirements
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and other functional teams to drive the successful delivery of technical projects
• Identify and manage program-level risks, dependencies, and constraints, proactively proposing mitigation strategies
• Facilitate program governance and decision-making processes, ensuring adherence to best practices
• Communicate program status, progress, and key milestones to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership
• Continuously optimize program management processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
• Mentor and guide more junior Technical Program Managers, sharing domain knowledge and best practices
- 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 2+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 2+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules- 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
