**About the Role**
As a Program Manager, Tech within the GSS Risk Operations team, you will play a pivotal role in tackling complex challenges by bringing a tech-forward mindset to address emerging risks and operational hurdles.
Your primary responsibility will be to lead high-impact programs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive the successful execution of projects from inception through delivery. This role calls for a blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and robust project management skills to design and implement scalable, tech-enabled solutions.
A core focus of this position is investigating fraud and abuse cases, identifying and analyzing patterns and crafting solutions to combat and prevent fraudulent activity. You’ll partner closely with the Engg and Product teams, ensuring that feedback loops are established to continuously refine and improve risk detection mechanisms. Your responsibilities will span both strategic and operational domains, including budget management, timelines, and stakeholder engagement.
In this role, creative problem-solving, marketplace risk and fraud knowledge, and an eye for detail will be essential. You will work cross-functionally, manage stakeholders effectively, and drive projects to meet timelines and budgetary constraints. Your contributions will help protect the platform, enhance user trust, and optimize Uber’s overall approach to risk management.

1. Execution and Delivery: Independently provide qualitative and quantitative insights to help improve the Risk Operations team
1. Program Leadership: Defines program scope, OKRs, and KPIs. Ensures alignment with stakeholder objectives.
1. Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional teams across ops, engineering and product for all data annotation needs with Uber.
1. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate program risks and issues, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
1. Continuous Improvement: Analyze program performance and implement optimizations to improve efficiency and outcomes.
1. Communication: Provide regular program updates to stakeholders, including executive leadership. Conduct weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviews.
\-\-\-\- Basic Qualifications ----
1. Minimum 3 years of experience in Risk program management or operations management (5 years preferred)
1. Experience in solving problems, both structured and ambiguous, at scale with strong attention to detail in fast changing business environments with technical mindset
1. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, and recommendations and drive customer and product-focused decisions
1. Experience working on Large Scale projects
1. Vendor / account management experience
1. Bachelors Degree Obtained
