About the role
The Vice President, Total Rewards will lead the strategic design, development, and implementation of global compensation and rewards programs across international and North American markets. This critical role will focus on transforming HelloFresh’s compensation framework into a cohesive, innovative, and scalable value proposition while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and market competitiveness. This new role will bring together our practices across the globe, refining foundational systems and processes such as our job architecture, establishing new capabilities and standard practices for our frontline workforce, incorporating global pay transparency strategies into our approach, aligning all efforts with the company’s long-term goals and the needs of its diverse workforce.
What you’ll do
- Global Total Rewards Leadership: Establish and maintain a global compensation framework harmonizing practices across diverse international markets. Overseeing compensation programs beyond equity-based incentives to create a competitive and sustainable rewards structure
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Collaborate with executive leadership to align total rewards strategies with HelloFresh’s business objectives; whilst leading the refinement of HelloFresh’s job architecture, ensuring consistent and transparent leveling and structure for 20,000 employees worldwide from our front line fulfillment operators in our warehouses to our technology engineers in our headquarter locations. Oversee our total rewards budget including compensation and benefits; optimizing for value for our employees while managing our costs
Team Development and Collaboration: Lead and mentor a high-performing team of total rewards professionals, fostering innovation and excellence across multiple markets as we scale our processes through technologyStakeholder Management: As a vital member of the People leadership team, this role requires the ability to challenge ide in as constructively and solve complex problems collaboratively with our Management Board, country leadership, technology partners and other People team leadersMarket Analysis and Compliance: Ensure all compensation and benefits programs comply with global regulations and local pay transparency laws, and that HelloFresh remains positioned competitively in the market
- Employee Experience and Engagement: Develop initiatives that enhance employee experience, ensuring that rewards programs reflect the values and priorities of the workforce, whilst fostering open communication channels to gather feedback and continuously improve
Process Management: Oversee annual compensation and salary planning processes, including merit reviews and incentive program administration; professionalize our systems and processes in partnership with our People OPS and HR Tech teams
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR Administration, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 15+ years of HR/Business experience, with at least 7 years in compensation and benefits leadership roles.
- Proven expertise in developing creative solutions for global total rewards strategies in cross-cultural organizations.
- Experience leading complex projects, driving transformation, and implementing innovative compensation systems.
- Strong technical and analytical skills to manage compensation frameworks and benchmark market practices.
- Demonstrated collaboration and leadership skills, including building partnerships with senior executives and global teams.
- Prior experience in environments with diverse workforces, including both hourly and executive roles.
- Professional certifications in HR/Compensation/Benefits are highly preferred.
