To meet the growing demand for AWS Training in the public sector government space, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and motivated people. The Training Business Development Manager - Technical (BDM) is accountable for the development of Training Services revenue with National Security Customers. The BDM will develop strategic segment plans, sales enablement goals, strategies and forecasting for AWS Training. The BDM will work with field teams to build and maintain a pipeline of training opportunities, and provide regular forecasts / business-reviews to senior management.

The ideal candidate will possess a technical background that enables them to help drive engagement at both the user and CXO level. The right candidate will have excellent communication skills to skillfully create, and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS Training.
To be successful in this position, you must be a self-starter who is prepared to Think Big and Dive Deep. The BDM will create and nurture relationships with sales and partner development teams helping them drive training business. BDMs will conduct sales enablement activities helping internal teams understand AWS Training offerings, how to position them with their customers and partners; keeping them up to speed on new programs, policies, and procedures.
This role works as part of a specialist team, interacting daily with our Curriculum Development and Training Operations teams, supporting our Australian federal government customers. The BDM-T will work closely with customers to determine training requirements (conducting training needs assessments), and build detailed training plans / proposals to accelerate customer adoption of AWS Services. They will build and maintain relationships with customers and partners to ensure flawless execution of training plans.

Hold or be able to attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance (see https://www.agsva.gov.au/applicants/eligibility-and-suitability)

Key job responsibilities
• Work closely with customers to determine training requirements
• Build and maintain a pipeline of training opportunities and provide regular forecasts
• Build detailed training plans / proposals to accelerate customer adoption of AWS Services
• Build and maintain customer relationships to ensure flawless execution of training plans
• Evangelize AWS Training at company and industry events
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- 5+ years of experience directly supporting customers in a federal contract environment
- Experience conducting Training Needs Assessments and developing Training Plans
- Business development and / or sales experience, preferably in the IT Training industry
- Effective verbal and written communications skills, with experience engaging and presenting to senior executives (CXO level)- Knowledge of Amazon Web Services or Cloud Computing concepts
- Marketing, operations, and training delivery experience
- Master’s Degree, and/or Computer Science or Math background highly desired; working knowledge of software development practices and technologies highly desired.
