At Craft, we are on a mission to redefine productivity through software. We are building a product that is fun and effortless to use, an application that blends into the background, allowing individuals to focus on their ideas and tasks at hand - as it should be.
In our pursuit to turn bold ideas into reality, partnership is crucial. Only together we can turn the impossible into reality, pooling our collective talents to create software that not only meets expectations but sets new standards.
We believe that challenges are gateways to growth, and at Craft, we embrace them. Every obstacle is an opportunity to learn, adapt, and excel. In our constant pursuit of excellence, we prioritize impactful results over perfection. Our team is encouraged to take risks and push boundaries, knowing that this is how great products are built.
Ownership and transparency guide our daily work. We own the outcome and our decisions along the way, taking responsibility for our actions and their impact on our community. We overcommunicate to ensure that every team member is aligned and moving together as one cohesive unit, making informed decisions that drive us forward.
We foster an environment where initiative is rewarded, and everyone has the authority to make decisions that enhance our offerings and improve our workflows.
Our design team is deliberately small. We want designers to have an outsized impact on our product and the features we are developing. This includes thinking about how features come to market and messaging to users.
Designing a native product at Craft means a commitment to enabling the same feature set across all form factors - meaning we’re pushing the boundaries of how responsive design works and how it can be translated across screen sizes and input types. This is one of the core areas of focus for us.
You’ll be working across iOS / iPadOS / MacOS / VisionOS / Windows app and Web to define, design and implement new features. You will be accompanied by some of the best designers in this field who work on native and cross platform experiences.
This also means this isn’t your “traditional” product designer role - you’ll be expected to widen your horizon - from deeply understanding the technical limitations and development process to understanding the nuances of native app development. Equally, we expect you to dive into the details of features release and marketing communications.
•
See product development through from beginning to end. You’ll have a part to play in the whole process from research, through to ideation, iteration, testing, and refinement.
•
Work alongside an mission-driven, friendly team of engineers to get new products into the hands of our users and customers.
•
Contribute to our visual language and design systems to ensure a consistent and beautiful experience when using the product.
•
Engage with stakeholders across the business and relate to their goals and concerns.
•
Build prototypes to test your assumptions and make sure our product is best placed to delight customers from day one.
•
Conduct research with the understanding that you may often be proven wrong, with an aim to continually grow your capacity for empathy with our customers and colleagues.
We are looking for individuals who want to be at the bleeding edge of Product design. For most of the features we’re willing to build there just aren’t patterns out there we could efficiently take and implement - out-of-the-box thinking is something you’ll need to use daily.
We’re looking for the following key traits for our next team members:
•
Excellence in visual design and styling. You understand the nuances of form, shape and structure. Equally, you fundamentally believe that good design is not just how things look but also work, that the beauty is in the blend of these two things.
•
Deep understanding of native mobile design principles and desktop patterns of design.
•

•

•

•
You can ship. Shipping is an extremely important part of the culture at Craft - you should be effectively be able to support this - meaning you have diverse skillsets from generating wild ideas to bringing those - once agreed upon - to production ready designs.
