About the team

As a Trust & Safety Investigator, you’ll focus on investigating Trust & Safety issues, handling requests from various stakeholders, both within and outside the company. You’ll support law enforcement inquiries and work closely with the Senior Supervisor, Trust & Safety to address complex Theft & Fraud concerns, ensuring thorough and accurate investigations.

What you'll do:

  • Complete detailed investigations and execute the appropriate strategy for each case type; lead interviews with suspects and victims
  • Coordinate with law enforcement agencies. Intake and triage requests from law enforcement and government agencies of varying complexity
  • Investigate and resolve Trust & Safety investigations while working alongside Claims, assisting with Cold Cases to bring perpetrators before the Court seeking compensation for any losses
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement in Turo’s processes across Trust & Safety Investigations and Law Enforcement
  • Ensure the safety of our platform by identifying and bringing awareness to negative trends and/or activity
  • Analyze data and identify patterns related to Trust & Safety, while developing and implementing strategies to reduce auto thefts in the marketplace

Your profile:

  • 3+ years Law Enforcement experience, investigating complex matters
  • Availability to be on-call and work on weekends and holidays as part of the team's rotating on-call schedule for those days
  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • Viewed as an expert by peers, proactively takes on additional responsibilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Demonstrates Turo’s values through work product and within day to day team interactions.
