Culture & Talent Integration Manager

What you’ll do

In this instrumental role on AlixPartners Corporate Services People team, you will manage key global Culture & Talent Integration initiatives.

The Culture & Talent Integration Manager is a full-time role and reports to Head of Career Management, Culture & Talent Integration. Travel may be required. Location is Southfield, Michigan. Paid relocation is not available.

  • Talent Integration: Our Talent Integration programs ensure the successful onboarding of colleagues into the firm and into new roles. The Talent Integration capability is newly defined and provides an opportunity to be innovative and work collaboratively across global functions and practices to design and implement best in class solutions to drive employee satisfaction, engagement, and enhanced time to productivity.
    • Lead ‘Project Fusion’, an internal project to define and enhance the phases of onboarding (from pre-boarding through the first 1-2 years), in partnership across functional teams responsible for and involved in each of these phases. Transition this initiative from a project to an operational program by defining roles, responsibilities, and long-term feedback/measurement strategies.
    • Manage Welcome to AlixPartners, a global orientation program delivered within a new joiner’s first weeks with the firm to help them become acclimatized, equipped, connected, and empowered. This program is run on a regular cadence throughout the year and includes both globally facilitated sessions and local induction activities.
    • Partner across People Team functions (e.g., Learning & Talent Development, Career Management, Talent Acquisition, People Business Partners) to define, design, and implement best in class talent integration programs, including promotions and acquisition integrations.
    • Lead and participate in orientation and learning session design and facilitation, as needed, and advise others on facilitation best practices.
  • Internal Awards and Recognition: Our internal awards system showcases who we are, how we operate and what makes us unique. While some of our firm awards have a long history, other awards have been added recently to recognize important contributions to our firm. Our internal awards system is vital to maintaining our culture and ensuring our success as we continue to grow.
    • Act as a strategic leader on the continuous development and delivery of the firm’s internal awards programs.
    • Manage the Culture and Talent Integration team to own, deliver, and manage the entire process (communication, nominations, and selection) for all current and future awards delivered globally throughout the year. This includes annual communication plans and measurement strategy.
    • Advise on enhancement requests, feedback, and change management for the internal awards process year to year.
    • Work closely with all stakeholders and senior leadership to ensure the awards system represents our firm’s commitment to living our core values, developing our core competencies, recognizing our people, and being a one-firm firm.
    • Partner seamlessly with other internal teams (Admin/Office Support, Events Team, IT, Marketing, People Business Partners, etc.) to ensure our firm understands our awards system, knows how to participate, is able to participate using a simple/convenient method, and is able to be involved in our announcement/celebration process.
  • Jay Talks: Our Jay Talks collection is a vital part of who we are as a firm and how we operate. The information that Jay Alix provides in these recorded sessions allows every employee to understand our firm’s culture, our firm’s journey, and The AlixPartners Way.
    • Manage the continuous development, delivery, and documentation of the Jay Talks program, including integration with internal programs (e.g., onboarding and development programs).
    • In collaboration with the IT function, manage Jay Talks application as needed, including updates/upgrades and additional content from Jay Alix’s team.
    • Work closely with all stakeholders, senior leadership, and Jay Alix’s team to promote the Jay Talks as an essential, and valuable, resource for our firm.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology or related field preferred
  • Minimum eight (8) years relevant experience in project/program management in a corporate or professional service setting
  • Experience managing and facilitating orientation and onboarding programs preferred
  • Experience managing teams and coaching and mentoring colleagues
  • Experience implementing policies and processes for internal programs to include stakeholder management, communication, and program/project planning
  • Experience creating and managing project plans for global programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, including presentations to global audiences
  • Excellent attention to detail with ability to work effectively on multiple workstreams while meeting deadlines
  • Collaborative style and client-service mindset as well as ability to work both independently and with cross departmental teams
  • Willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours, and as unique projects/needs arise.
  • Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.
