About the team

Roku’s Merchandising team helps users discover great content and drives engagement and subscription growth across our platform. We combine data, machine learning, and editorial expertise to surface content users love. Our team partners closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Business, and Operations to support both ad-supported and subscription experiences that delight millions. 

 

About the Role

We’re looking for a Content Merchandising Associate to join our Subscriptions team and help shape the content experience for Roku users across Mexico and LATAM. In this full-time role based in Mexico City, you’ll help launch and manage premium content experiences that engage users and grow subscriptions. You’ll bring a strong understanding of the local media landscape, including sports leagues and broadcast rights, to help launch and support new content offerings outside the U.S. You'll collaborate across teams to manage complex projects, ensuring timely execution and a seamless user experience. 

This role requires a creative yet data-savvy mindset, strong editorial instincts, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment. You'll report to the Sr. Manager of Subscriptions Merchandising team. Fluency in English and Spanish are required.

 

What you'll be doing

  • Manage day-to-day operations for subscription content initiatives, including calendars, metadata, content placement, and ensuring smooth UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for new CMS features  
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Business, Product, Engineering, Operations, and external partner teams to execute content strategies and campaigns  
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to launch and maintain premium content experiences’  
  • Manage and launch new premium subscription partnerships, ensuring timely and successful execution of content merchandising initiatives  
  • Identify and improve processes to streamline content workflows  
  • Use data and performance insights to inform decisions and optimize engagement  
  • Support content updates, stunts, and promotions that enhance the user experience 

 

We are excited if you have 

  • 3+ years of experience in subscription-based content merchandising, editorial, curation, or content programming 
  • Deep knowledge of entertainment genres including TV, film, and sports, with strong knowledge of the steaming and media landscape in Mexico and LATAM
  • Fluency in English and Spanish 
  • Experience working with CMS platforms and managing UAT for new features  
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights  
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines  
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving environment  
  • A clear communicator with solid project management skills
