The role
SoFi Bank, formed in February 2022, is the consumer banking arm of SoFi that is responsible for the company’s lending and deposit products. The Bank has achieved strong growth in these initial years and continues to grow its services to SoFi Members and make strong contributions to the Company’s profitability. As the Bank continues to mature, scaling the governance processes in a thoughtful, organized, and controlled manner is essential for long term sustainability.The Bank Business Operations Manager will play a key role in supporting the Bank’s growth, serving as a critical organizer and driver of the Bank’s governance processes, team operations, and broader bank and enterprise wide continuous improvement initiatives. The Bank Business Operations Manager will report to the Senior Manager, Bank Governance and Planning and will be part of the broader Bank team, rolling up to the SoFi Bank President. This role is cross functional and requires close collaboration with stakeholders across all lines of business and engagement with Senior Leadership. A successful candidate in this role is someone who demonstrates both excellent written and verbal communication skills, robust project management experience, a precise attention to detail, and an energetic and proactive attitude for developing solutions and working towards a larger team goal. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a solid working knowledge of the banking and bank regulatory environment, experience working within large financial institutions, and is interested in learning more about consumer finance in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
What you’ll do:
- Provide primary staff support for Bank governance operations, including managing and developing materials, agendas, schedules for governance management committees ensuring centralized tracking, coordination, visibility, and alignment with broader Bank efforts
- Support the Senior Manager in managing and coordinating the monthly, quarterly, and annual responsibilities, requirements, and emerging action items in support of SoFi Bank Board operations
- Work with the Bank team and Senior Leadership to support its ongoing regulatory relationships and commitments, primarily with the OCC. This could include contributing to exam management, continuous monitoring, and active remediations as needed
- Work cross functionally across functions and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd lines of defense to support annual strategic planning processes
- As time and expertise permits, step into a lead role in driving the Bank’s approach to continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for improvement, refinement, and collaboration
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business-related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in a financial services or related environment (e.g. banking, consulting, accounting, risk management, compliance, internal audit etc.) providing a sound working knowledge of a regulated banking environment
- Superior organization, project management, and communication (verbal and written) skills - includes ability to effectively synthesize information from diverse sources into effective messaging appropriately tailored to the audience
- Comfort, confidence, and professionalism in liaising and working with Senior Leadership
- High energy and commitment to continuous learning and development, and working as part of a whole in support of broader team goals
- Proactive ability to dig deeper and go beyond baseline requirements to consistently deliver quality work products
Nice to have:
- Experience operating with responsibility and managing projects
- Exposure and/or knowledge of bank regulations
- Experience working directly with OCC and/or other regulators

Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
