You will be a part of the global BIM technology team responsible for implementing, managing, and adopting new BIM technologies and systems to support the design, construction, and operation of Amazon-owned data center facilities.
You will be responsible for leading the implementation of new BIM programs and tools, from ideation to delivery. You will work with BIM stakeholders to collect requirements, own roadmaps, and coordinate development with the engineering team. You will report program status updates and collect metrics to measure success.
Key job responsibilities
You must be able to work independently and with your team to successfully lead and deliver technology solutions that are time-bound, business-critical, and have significant bottom-line impact. This includes working with internal teams as well as external suppliers, consultants, manufacturers, vendors, and contractors. Your will:
- Own BIM implementation programs and roadmaps.
- Translate functional requirements into robust, scalable, supportable solutions that work well within the internal landscape of BIM systems.
- Evaluate and make decisions and trade-offs about the use of new or existing software products and tools.
- Participate in the full BIM development cycle, end-to-end, from design, development, implementation, and testing to documentation, delivery, and maintenance of large-scale distributed BIM technology solutions, including software applications, tools, systems, and services, both first-party and third-party.
- Spearhead new AI research and implementation.
- Lead security reviews for new BIM technologies, software, and tools.
- Evangelize, educate, and support primary design technology applications.
- Contribute to the develop of technical solutions, programs, or scripts that use BIM API and SDK such as Revit and Autodesk Platform Services.
- Coordinate information management, smart object metadata and classification codes with asset information databases.
- Be the subject matter expert when establishing and maintaining BIM standards, processes, and workflows across regions.
- Mentor BIM Technology Specialists and Engineers.

Basic Qualifications
• 5+ years of non-internship professional experience leading the implementation and adoption of first-party and third-party BIM technology solutions.
• 5+ years of experience working with Revit, BIM360/ACC, and Autodesk Platform Services (formerly Forge).
• 4+ years of experience using BIM API and SDKs.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction, or related STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) field.
• Experience using SQL, data, and metrics to lead cross-functional BIM program and process improvements.
• Experience with using or implementing Artificial Intelligence solutions, with focus on Deep Learning and Generative AI.
• Experience developing custom BIM integrations with third-party APIs like Autodesk Platform Services.
• Experience with BIM software development with at least one programming language.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
