Role : Technical Product Owner

Responsibilities:
- 5+ years of experience in product management or technical product ownership, specifically within healthcare data engineering or a similar domain.
- Strong understanding of healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, ICD, CPT) and healthcare workflows.
- Experience working with data engineering tools and platforms (e.g., ETL tools, data lakes, cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and managing cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of data security, privacy, and regulatory frameworks in healthcare (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).
- Understanding of Relational, NoSQL and Vector databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, SingleStore, Pinecone).
- Understanding of Machine Learning frameworks (e.g., Python, Keras, Tensorflow)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and translate complex technical concepts into business terms.
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and modern data architectures.
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (SQL, NoSQL).
- Experience with BI and analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
Role Overview:
- Product Vision & Strategy:
- Define and communicate the vision and roadmap for healthcare data engineering projects, aligning with business goals and customer needs.
- Prioritize the product backlog based on business value, regulatory requirements, and technical feasibility.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (clinical, operational, technical, etc.) to gather and refine requirements, ensuring alignment with the organization’s data strategy.
- Healthcare Data Management:
- Ensure data governance, security, and compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, GDPR, and other regional healthcare standards.
- Drive initiatives for data quality, standardization, and enrichment, ensuring that the data meets the accuracy and consistency required for analytics and reporting.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Act as the liaison between business stakeholders, data engineering teams, and healthcare professionals to ensure the successful delivery of data solutions.
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams, translating business needs into technical requirements and vice versa.
- Conduct regular stakeholder meetings to provide updates on product progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Lead Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Work closely with the development team to break down features into user stories, define acceptance criteria, and ensure timely delivery of tasks.
- Continuously groom and refine the product backlog based on feedback and changing priorities.
- Test the features as per the acceptance criteria
- Work with data engineers to define data architecture, data models, and ETL processes.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in healthcare data engineering and provide recommendations for improvement or new technology adoption.
Data Integration & Analytics:
- Oversee data integration projects, ensuring seamless data flow between multiple sources, including cloud environments, on-premise systems, and third-party healthcare applications.
- Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to ensure that the data infrastructure supports advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning use cases in healthcare.
- Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure that data processing and management adhere to industry standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HITRUST).
- Identify potential risks associated with data security and privacy, and work with teams to mitigate these risks.
- Showcase the product’s features, benefits, and potential ROI in a way that resonates with different stakeholders (e.g., executives, end-users).
- Develop customized product demonstrations that align with the unique needs and pain points of potential customers.
- Clearly articulate the value proposition of the product during demos, emphasizing how it solves specific problems and enhances efficiency.
- Excellent knowledge of healthcare (Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM), claims processing, healthcare. responsible for working cross functionally with Sales, Sales Operations, Sales Support, Finance, Formulary, Legal and Rebate Operations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced certifications in product management or data-related fields (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, CDMP).
