We work in hybrid mode 3+2, at a minimum of 3 days at the office (with mandatory Tuesdays and Wednesdays) and a maximum of 2 days at the home office.

The location of our office is Holandská 873/6, Brno – Štýřice, 639 00.

We employ only via employment contract – FTE (HPP).

Your role:

We’re seeking an Engineering Manager to lead one or more teams of 5-8 engineers developing an on-prem product called Network Performance Monitor. This award-winning network management product is now part of the SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted package. In this role, you will be responsible for keeping the high quality of the product by following best engineering practices and driving continuous improvements at both the product and personal levels. You will closely cooperate with other managers, a local product owner, a remote product manager, and other stakeholders from different locations worldwide.  

Your impact:

• Lead, motivate, and set clear goals for a small engineering team.
• Develop talent through hiring, mentoring, and career planning.
• Manage technical projects from start to finish, meeting quality, budget, and time targets.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, align objectives, and report on progress. 

Qualifications: 

• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• 3+ years of experience in people/team management, ideally within agile environments.
• Programming background – experience with OOP (ideally C#/.NET), SQL.
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Ability to use English daily
• Basic knowledge of the networking domain (advanced knowledge is a benefit)
