Amazon.com has extensive vendor payment operations activities for our vendors across the Globe. The WW Finance operation at Hyderabad commenced in 2005 and has grown steadily in its size and scope into a dynamic and large team. The 3000+ member team at Hyderabad, Pune, Manila, Costa Rica, Bratislava and China handle WW Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll transactions and play a key role in smooth functioning of overall Amazon businesses. This position will mainly support both AP, AR, Tax and Accounting related processes for all major businesses of Amazon, which comprises of 150+ unique services. The amount of money that is managed by the function is over $500Billion per annum

Key job responsibilities
• Leading Black Belt (BB) projects and mentoring GBs/YBs/Kaizens to address key cross functional issues ranging from financial operations, fulfillment operations, and vendor management for global Amazon businesses
• Deliver Financial Savings through projects
• Design and implement mechanisms to improve Operational Excellence Culture
• Conducting YB and Kaizen Trainings
• Manage the documentation and status of all GB/BB/Lean projects
• Provide periodic project updates, including major successes/challenges, to senior management
• Managing and constantly improving the idea management (ideation to implementation) process
• Conduct VSMs and FMEAs to identify improvement opportunities as and when needed
• Able to handle TAX / VAT related process study and identify the gaps.

A day in the life
Driving discussions with Stakeholders on the process improvements
Mentoring operations on YB/ GB / BB projects
Conducting Data analysis
Drive VSMs
Conducting Lean Six Sigma Trainings
Conduct FMEA
Designing solutions and future state processes

About the team
FGBS ACES, established in 2011, is comprised of 59 process improvement experts (Black Belts, Master Black Belts, Lean experts and data specialists) whose core competencies include: Value stream mapping, Root Cause Analysis, Data Analysis, Process Design, light automations and Change Management. This global team spans nine countries and is structured along FinOps verticals (i.e., Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, and Payroll) and business channels (i.e., AWS, Advertising, Stores, Healthcare etc.). FGBS ACES provides support across all of FGBS and various Amazon businesses, with the exception of Fulfillment Operations, HR, and Customer Service. Our team is actively engaged in projects across a wide range of areas, including Advertising, AWS, Stores, Tax, Transportation, and Treasury. In the past, we have also worked in Devices, Studios, Video, and Fresh. - 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Bachelor's degree
- • Graduate in Business Administration / Engineering or a similar quantitative field
- • Black Belt certification and a proven track record of successfully leading GB/BB projects and training programs.
- • Must have led minimum 4 High Impact GB/BB projects
- • Ability to deal with ambiguity and work with cross functional teams
- • Good Analytical skills , able to make sense out of messy data
- • Demonstrated ability to make courageous recommendations and decisions to drive significant organizational change.
- • Excellent presentation skills, dynamic approach with the ability to translate theory into practical application.
- • Ability to map the processes
- • Good Communication skills.- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
