Program Manager, Energy Metering Gateway Deployment

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Business, or equivalent practical experience).
• 5 years of experience in program management.
• Experience in program management, within a technical or engineering context.
• Experience deploying hardware or IoT devices at scale.

Preferred qualifications:

• 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
• Experience working in a global or international environment.
• Experience with cloud platforms and data onboarding processes.
• Knowledge of energy metering or building management systems.
• Ability to interact with engineers to drive and influence engineering decisions.

As a Program Manager at Google, you will play a critical role in the global deployment of our energy metering gateways. This involves not only overseeing the technical rollout to buildings worldwide, but also contributing to the product's ongoing development, influencing support strategies, and ensuring seamless data collection and onboarding to our cloud platform. This role requires a proactive and experienced individual capable of navigating, cross-functional projects.

• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand or identify defined work problems and program goals, obtain prioritized deliverables, and discuss program impact.
• Prioritize program goals, understand and translate other stakeholders’ needs into program goals and prioritized deliverables with minimal assistance, and contribute to decisions on prioritizing goals and deliverables.
• Define the scope of projects and develop, execute, or manage project plans for supported programs.
• Review metrics pertaining to a program, monitor potential metric deviations, and define corrective actions for critical deviations.
• Identify, communicate, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders within one or more teams to drive impact and work toward mutual goals.
