WHAT YOU’LL DO
As the Senior Communications Manager for the US and Europe, based in Amsterdam, you will play an important role in advancing Optiver’s strategy and transformation agenda through strategic communications.
Working closely with senior stakeholders and a global team of communications colleagues, you will develop and execute a communications strategy for the US and Europe business, collaborate on a variety of regional and global initiatives, and drive employee engagement through clear, cohesive messaging that supports our business objectives and builds the Optiver brand.
More specifically, in this role you will:
- Establish an internal communications strategy and framework for the US and Europe, in conjunction with senior management and the global communications team.
- Ensure a regular cadence of messages from local and global leaders to US and Europe employees.
- Support Regional Management Teams with communications and employee engagement that drive engagement with and understanding of the firm’s strategy and business objectives.
- Identify opportunities to connect regional and functional messaging to overarching organizational goals, building a cohesive narrative the helps employees understand how updates fit into the bigger picture.
- Advise on best practices to strategic communications, driving employee engagement and supporting smooth transitions and adoption during periods of change.
- Participate in global communications projects and initiatives, working as part of a global Communications team.
- Represent US & Europe communications in local, regional and global business and people projects. Develop and execute targeted communication plans to support project goals.
- Plan, edit, and write content for a variety of internal communications channels and media, ensuring consistency of style and message across platforms and departments.
- Develop / maintain internal platforms and channels, and manage production elements and processes associated with internal communications for the business.
- Support global communications with media and PR topics, crisis communications and issues management as needed. This includes drafting and /or reviewing external messaging, such as press releases, media statements, and thought leadership content, ensuring clarity and consistency.

- Collaborate across marketing, external and internal communications, to ensure that internal communications are consistent with external campaigns.
- Manage local suppliers to support the execution of the communications strategy.

WHO YOU ARE
- 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, internal communications or public relations, preferably within a global organisation.
- Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, communications, journalism, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred;
- Proven track record developing and implementing communication strategies and managing organisational change initiatives.
- Skilled in digital communication tools and platforms, staying up to date with the latest technologies and trends in the field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, capable of capturing the tone of voice of our leaders and the firm.
- Ability to collaborate across management levels and departments, with experience interacting with and presenting to leadership across diverse teams and locations.
- Highly organised and structured, able to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Autonomous and proactive, capable of working across multiple teams and departments.
- Experience dealing with different cultures and willingness to travel to global offices on occasion.
- Sense of ethical responsibility and trustworthiness to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
