In this role, you will be responsible for factory start up, transfer and qualify sustaining product manufacturing process to new factory. Driving engineering excellence to solve complex problems that directly impact final product quality, cost and delivery of Microsoft devices. You will be a key member of the Technical Operations team and will partner closely with, Mechanical, Quality, Test Engineering and our Manufacturing partners to launch product flawlessly and sustain product meet target until product end of life.
Monitors and maintains portions of the manufacturing process with minimal input from senior engineers. Reads component/sub-component/device specification sheets and interprets moderately complex details required to produce, assemble, and/or qualify hardware features with minimal input from senior engineers. Uses predictive modeling technique to inform and optimize manufacturing process design choices for a well-defined product, part, component, sub-assembly, or final assembly with minimal input from senior engineers. Builds, and validates products, components, or assemblies independently. Maintains contact with factories and suppliers to drive yield and continuous improvements into mass production and/or repair processes with minimal guidance. Identifies common project risks at the outset of a project and develops plans to address those risks with minimal input from senior engineers. Develops qualification process and criteria to calibrate product quality.
