Within Azure Data, the databases team builds and maintains Microsoft's operational Database systems. We store and manage data in a structured way to enable multitude of applications across various industries. We are on a journey to enable developer friendly, mission-critical, AI enabled operational Databases across relational, non-relational and OSS offerings.

The Data Modernization team within Azure Data is hiring a Principal Software Engineer. Database migration is an area that is top of mind for the Azure organization as a whole and is an extremely visible, crucial, and fast-moving area of investment for the team. These set of services are the newest addition of services being built by the team and are driven by the all-important momentum of migrating and modernizing customer workloads from on-premises to Azure. These are extremely high scale hybrid services, and their goal is to help customers migrate their workloads from wherever they are to Azure and modernize on the way.
