About the role:

Samsara Technologies India Private Limited is looking for a Lead Software Engineer - Salesforce CPQ. 

The Lead Software Engineer - Salesforce CPQ will be responsible for the design and development of flexible and scalable solutions on the Salesforce and CPQ platforms. This role requires that you understand Salesforce and CPQ design and development best practices and can apply them to the delivery of business solutions. The Developer will work with technical and cross-functional business teams to implement enhancements and projects, and resolve incidents, and requires a combination of analytical, technical, business acumen, and communication skills.

You will develop tools to help scale our revenue-generating operations and increase sales efficiency. This is a multi-faceted role where you will work with our Sales, Customer Success, Product, Growth, Marketing, and Finance teams.

This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in our Bengaluru office and 2 days working remotely. This position is open to candidates based in India, relocation assistance will not be provided for this role.

In this role, you will: 

  • Design and develop secure, scalable technical solutions on the Salesforce and CPQ platforms
  • Communicate technical solutions and design tradeoffs to Business Applications team members and business stakeholders
  • Analyze business processes and system implementation to identify inefficiencies and critical metrics
  • Evaluate existing code, develop plans to reduce technical debt over time, and establish a technology roadmap with system architects. Maintain and optimize full lifecycle software development using standard configuration, Apex, VisualForce, LWC, APIs, CPQ, and Force.com applications
  • Establish best practices and standards for well-designed, testable, efficient code with high quality
  • Mentor, develop, and train Junior developers
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • 10+ years of work experience in IT engineering
  • 5+ years of Salesforce development experience with extensive knowledge of Sales Cloud, CPQ, Apex, VisualForce, LWC, and Force.com tools and applications
  • Self-starter, self-motivated, prioritize effectively, and perform multiple tasks under minimal supervision
  • Experience in Agile development methodology
  • Excellent communication skills and proven success in a dynamic and collaborative environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience designing test plans, performing unit testing, and writing test classes to ensure proper code coverage
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • This role requires working from the office at Prestige Tech Park, Kadubeesanahalli, Bengaluru 3 days a week

An ideal candidate also has:

  • Familiarity with integrated applications such as Mulesoft is preferred
  • Experience in contributing to setting up CI/CD pipeline 
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Working knowledge of Web and Javascript frameworks
  • Certifications: Platform Developer, Platform App Builder, and other preferred
