The Role:

As an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer you will help build our flagship Clear Street Studio, a modern prime brokerage experience. You will tackle non trivial problems that force you to balance trade offs while implementing clean and efficient solutions. You will raise our bar on providing clean and efficient solutions that delight and offer the best experience for our customers. You will push our operational standards and ensure that we are able to offer and maintain a high SLA.

This role is deeply involved with engineering the next generation of our state of the art Studio (portal) for our varied client base including hedge funds, traders and portfolio managers.   

• You have 6+ years of professional experience implementing highly scalable services using Java, Spring Boot.
• Enhance and engineer web applications using React and TypeScript.
• You have contributed to systems that deliver solutions to complex business problems that handle massive amounts of data. You are drawn towards scale, distributed systems, and associated technologies.
• You can clearly explain the nuances of system design and paradigms to engineers and stakeholders.
• You prioritize end user experience and it shows in your APIs design, functionality, and performance.
• You have a strong command over design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• You communicate technical ideas with ease and always look to collaborate to deliver high quality products.
• Your experience will help you mentor team members, define our engineering standards, and drive a system design approach to building new services.

Tech Stack: React, Typescript, Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, AWS (S3, SQS, Kinesis, RDS, Elastic)

Requirements:

• At least six (6) years of professional experience implementing scalable web solutions.
• BS in Computer Science or related field
• You have at least five (5) years of professional experience and a strong understanding of front end technologies such as React and Typescript as well as back end technologies such as Java, Spring Boot and Event based patterns.
• You are able to recognize and find solutions to performance issues.
• You aim for operational excellence.
• You obsess over the user experience.
• You like working in a team first environment.
• You take pride in the quality of your work and hold yourself to a high standard.

We Offer:
The Base Salary Range is $175,000.00 - $225,000.00. These ranges are representative of the starting base salaries for this role at Clear Street. Which range a candidate fits into and where a candidate falls in the range will be based on job related factors such as relevant experience, skills, and location. These ranges represent Base Salary only, which is just one element of Clear Street's total compensation. The ranges stated do not include other factors of total compensation such as bonuses or equity.
