About the Role
Five Rings gives people as much responsibility as possible, as quickly as it can be earned. From day one, as a new QR, individuals will gain unrivaled experience both at their desk and in the classroom.
- Identify new opportunities in the markets we trade
- Construct or enhance market models
- Develop analyses and simulations
- Implement models in our trading systems
- Test models in real time
- Collaborate with traders and software developers
About You
- Must possess, or be working towards, a PhD or Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics, economics, or another qualifying field
- Exceptionally mathematically proficient
- Has a hunger to work on some of the most complex mathematical problems we find
- Must enjoy problem solving as this is at the forefront of the role
- Extremely detail-oriented
- Thrive in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment
- Eager to continue to learn and grow your skills
- Fluent with tools such as Python and R
- You have the ability to think outside of the box and get creative with analytical approaches
- Driven to act on a thought or idea as soon as it comes to mind
- Proven track record of success within candidates field of specialty
- Must be ok with taking risks, making mistakes, and learning what to do differently next time
Annual Base Salary: $300,000. Total compensation packages are comprised of base salary and a discretionary bonus.
