Intern With Geneva Trading

Geneva Trading is looking for students to join our systems support team for a systems support analyst apprenticeship next year. Our systems support analyst apprenticeship is a 15-week part-time on-site role that gives you hands-on experience working desktop and general IT support in the trading industry. Our systems support interns are expected to learn on the job by asking questions, applying classroom knowledge and real world experience, all whilst learning from experienced IT professionals. You’ll receive mentorship by industry pros and will receive additional support from the Human Resources team to enhance your experience. This is a temporary part-time opportunity; start date and hours are flexible based on your academic schedule.

As a Systems Support Analyst (Apprentice) You Will

  • Respond to hardware and software support issues from employees for Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel), Phone/Voicemail, Printers, etc.
  • Set up, configure, and install new workstations, monitors, etc.
  • Install and configure applications as requested
  • Set up/remove user accounts as required
  • Track and update IT inventory
  • Perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an associate’s or bachelor’s degree program in Information Technology or similar field of study
  • Experience troubleshooting, basic networking concepts, and Windows OS
  • Excellent customer service and general hardware knowledge
  • Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience with application support and hardware builds highly preferred
  • Strong project management experience preferred
  • Prior work experience in Help Desk, Desktop Support, IT Support, or End User Support preferred
