About the Position
We are seeking a Senior Operations Analyst to join our growing firm. The Analyst will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and be heavily involved in the operations of a dynamic and global proprietary trading firm.
Responsibilities
- Work in a fast-paced technology-based trading environment with daily interaction across multiple business units, including the front office, IT, and accounting
- Daily/intraday trade and position reconciliation
- Maintain relationships with exchanges, clearing firms, and vendors
- Assist in the management and the periodic auditing of market data reporting/usage
- Create and maintain policies, procedures, and practices to help ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Perform ad hoc project work as needed
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree
- Prior equities/futures/options experience required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Advanced computer skills required, proficient in the MS Office Suite
- Familiarity with a computer programming language, preferably SQL and/or Python
- Ability to quickly learn and research new tools, procedures, and structures
- Attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills
- Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously
- Self-starter with a strong desire to make processes more efficient
- Problem solver with superior analytical and reconciliation skills
