As a Senior Engineer, you’ll be our storage and windows systems subject matter expert, leading design decisions, liaising with third-party vendors, implementing, and maintaining systems in the windows and storage space. You’ll partner with cross-functional engineering teams to improve existing systems and introduce new technologies to help scale and improve our trading systems in a competitive industry.
Main responsibilities include
- Storage
- Be the subject matter expert on storage protocols (SAN, NAS, NFS, Cifs, Fibre Channel, iSCSI)
- Collaborate with trading and tech teams to determine storage needs
- Lead storage build-outs and liaise with vendors
- Windows
- Scripting in PowerShell for performance tuning- ability to optimize storage performance and manage storage capacity
- Manage Citrix administration including netscalers, xen app, and xen desktop
- Oversee Active Directory infrastructure
Required
- 5-7 years of experience as a Storage and/or Windows Engineer
- Strong understanding of storage protocols (NAS and SAN) including NFS, Cifs, Fibre Channel, iSCSI protocols
- Experience with administration of active directory DHCP, DNS, Azure AD
- Experience in scripting using PowerShell
- Experience with vendor selection and management
- Strong communication skills with experience in partnering with end-users in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
- Basic understanding of rest APIs
- Familiarity with cloud storage such as AWS S3 and/or Azure Blob storage
- Administration of virtualization Environments (broadcom and hyper V)
- Administration of Citrix
- Software content management
- Understanding of SQL database infrastructure
- Certificate management - web certificates securing web address is secure
- Experience scripting in python
