WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON:

As a Senior Data Scientist, who loves to solve both data scientific and technical problems, you'll play a key role to improve our trading competitiveness.

• You will have the opportunity to perform extensive data analysis to improve our existing executions, strategies, and datasets.
• You'll be exposed to the trading strategies we develop, work with terabytes of market and Optiver internal data, have experience of our back-testing and ETL frameworks and much more.
• We encourage teammates to challenge each other's hypothesis. Can it be mathematically improved? Does it exploit a market behavioural pattern? Can it sustain its output goals? Constant testing, analysis, refinement, and innovation ensure our executions and strategies remain at the cutting-edge of constantly evolving capital markets.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Physics, or a related field involving quantitative analysis, research, and simulation.
• Excellent data analysis, critical thinking skills.
• Solid coding skills, proficient in Python and scientific stack(e.g. Pandas, Matplotlib) with both analysis and etl pipeline experience.
• Pay attention to details, identify patterns and improvements of existing systems, focus on pragmatic outcomes, can present complex ideas with data to expedite decision making.
• Outstanding communication skills, coordinate with multiple stakeholder groups.
• Familiarity and experience with software and computer systems would be a plus.
