Position: QA Automation Engineer
Team: Networking
Overview: We are looking for a dedicated and innovative QA Automation Engineering to join our networking products team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about quality assurance and possess a keen eye for detail. Your primary role will be to design, develop, and implement automated and manual testing scenarios to ensure product quality. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, collaboration skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable automated test scripts.
- Participate in manual testing efforts when necessary.
- Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs through to resolution.
- Work closely with the development team to improve existing products and develop new features.
- Participate in design and specification reviews to ensure quality considerations are incorporated and to provide feedback.
- Staying up to date with new testing tools, test strategies & technologies.
- Creating tests using best practices that are within compliance of company & industry standards.
- Helping to train & mentor junior QA engineers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of QA automation experience.
- Proven experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, REST APIs & web applications.
- Experience with TCP/IP networking and packet data communications protocols.
- Familiarity with Postman, Pytest & Playwright automation tools/frameworks.
- Familiarity with Jira and Zephyr for ticket & test management.
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Ability to document, troubleshoot & root cause bugs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly express oneself in meetings & through documentation.
- Self-learning skills and the ability to get up to speed quickly.
- Self-motivated desire to complete tasks on time and with high quality, with minimal to moderate oversight.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with consumer and/or enterprise networking hardware.
- QA experience with desktop and mobile applications, specifically VPN software.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Experience with network switches, routers and/or access points.
