Beekeeper is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team as we scale up our systems & processes to support the company’s growth plans. This is an opportunity to join an innovative technology company with global operations and high ambitions. The role reports into our Head of Accounting and will work closely with peers in the Accounting & FP&A teams, along with other departments.

Your Responsibilities

Accounting & Controlling 

• Support monthly and quarterly close activities including preparation and review of various monthly accounting journal entries in SAP
• Prepare & review monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations, investigate & resolve differences
• Control revenue and expenses by performing analytical review procedures and presenting conclusions & recommendations
• Analyze technical accounting issues and provide guidance as required
• Monitoring and testing controls to ensure these are carried out in accordance with our internal control system

Financial Reporting

• Preparation of Local GAAP annual reporting pack for group subsidiaries
• Liaise with local accounting providers on financial reporting, transfer pricing and direct and indirect tax filings
• Support the financial audit of the Group, including consolidation entries, preparing schedules, reports & responding to auditor requests
• Provide timely and accurate ad hoc reporting to internal stakeholders as required

Projects 

• Support the Head of Accounting with the implementation of new systems, automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Identify & implement improvements to our internal control system
• Perform analysis to support data driven decisions on new initiatives
• Mentor other team members

What we look for in you

• Fluent in English (C1+)
• 5+ years’ relevant experience 
• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Ability to operate independently on complex projects 
• Accountability and able to plan, prioritize & execute work to deadlines
• Proactive with a creative, continuous improvement mindset
• A strong communicator able to represent the team cross functionally
• Strong Excel skills and able to work with complex data across multiple systems

Bonus Points

• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent)
• Experience in a scaling up technology or SaaS company
• Experience in public accounting (audit experience preferred)
• US GAAP expertise
• Experience with SAP Business ByDesign / Lucanet / Chargebee
• German or Polish language skills
