We are looking for a highly specialised Technical Product Manager to help us to improve the heart of Bitvavo - Core Exchange API. Join the Product department and become part of one of the fastest growing tech companies in the Netherlands, on the eve of European expansion.
What is the role about?
As a Technical Product Manager at Bitvavo, you will have an exciting opportunity to shape and make a real impact on the future of a leading European retail investment platform. You will be responsible for leading the product work for the Core Exchange API domain, while in close contact with product teams and other parts of the business to understand their needs and map them against your internal backlog. You will be responsible for drafting a long-term roadmap for the team as well as preparing the strategy on how to adjust Bitvavo’s exchange API setup to stay compliant with existing rules, and prepare for new implementations and business growth.
How will you make an impact?
The Core Exchange API team is responsible for the key functionalities of Bitvavo’s exchange - Exchange API, order management, fees calculation, market data and external developer documentation of our services (https://docs.bitvavo.com/). This team is a part of the broader Exchange domain and collaborates closely with other teams, especially Matching Engine one.
As a Product Manager of Core Exchange API you will be working closely with a tech development team consisting of several backend developers and Engineering Manager and you will be responsible for:
- Creating roadmaps and setting priorities for the team
- Translating Company and Product strategy into team’s strategy
- Conducting market research and Market Makers interviews to identify their needs and industry benchmarks for Exchange API performance
- Gathering requirements and creating specifications for new developments
- Monitoring and analysing data for Exchange API performance and team’s KPIs
- Supporting Engineering Manager in driving timely delivery of planned initiatives and managing cross teams projects
How will you be successful?
- 5+ years of experience in technical product management
- Strong technical background
- Previous experience in financial products requiring high speed and performance (exchanges, brokers, trading companies)
- Understanding of financial markets, market microstructure and trading industry
- Strong delivery mindset and ability to manage cross-company projects
- You are detail oriented, thorough yet pragmatic
- Experience with complex deployment planning
