The Role

This is a full-time fixed-term contract for 1 year,  located in Madrid.
 

This Spain Event coordinator will play a key role in supporting the team of seasoned professionals developing and executing strategic events from in-person to virtual and everything in between as part of the publicity and marketing team. They will be a member of a broader, seasoned group of events professionals, who are based across the local offices in EMEA. This role will be responsible for collaborating on delivering the events for Spain and will report into the Event Lead Spain. 

The goal of the team is to drive conversation around Netflix titles, talent and the brand through curated external and internal events and experiences. The coordinator will work with the cross functional team that is helping to create, shape, execute and manage campaigns for our content, meaning that they will have to be in sync and show a curiosity about promotional efforts and contribute to building campaigns with new and innovative event ideas.  This is a hands-on role which requires office based planning work and onsite delivery which may involve multi day travel. 

A focus of this role within the Spanish event team will be : 

  • Assist in day-to-day administrative support (e.g. team admin, Coordinate/calendar meetings and events, event folder organisation, RFPs, develop best practice tools, etc.).

  • Coordinate pre-event logistics, including compiling guestlists, handling invitation copies, establishing relationships and leading the execution of this workflow alongside  our existing guest-list vendor. 

  • Manage onsite logistics, including guest check in, audience management and details which can enhance the participant experience.

  • Deliver with external event agency partner and support the end to end delivery of a right sized event for this role. 

  • Support in bigger events to the Events team during all the process when needed.

Candidate Profile:

  • 4-5 years of versatile admin, project planning or event experience, working either as part of an agency or an in-house team at a brand. Note that this is not an entry level opportunity.

  • You can demonstrate knowledge around attendee communication/guest list management, data management and collaboration with hotels, venues and event agencies. 

  • Excellent organizational skills, awareness of deadlines and very high attention to detail is a must.

  • Curiosity to innovate to make the work better - interest in developing best practice and streamlining administrative processes which can simplify how we work.

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal in french and english, sensitive to cultural nuances and D&I aspects. 

  • Generally curious and interested by the creative scene and the entertainment ecosystem 

  • Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task across projects, while remaining flexible and nimble.

  • An independant and positive thinker who is a constant contributor to the team

  • Google Suite knowledge inside and out

  • You will have experienced being part of an onsite event delivery team and understand the agility and composure required in a live event environment.

  • Passionate about events and creating unique and unforgettable experiences

  • Netflix is an English speaking environment and we expect proficiency as well as in Spanish but additional language skills are a plus since we work across the region.
