Your future role within QRT:

The Governance and Risk Manager will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining governance frameworks and risk management practices across the IT Production organization. This role ensures that all IT operations comply with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in governance, risk management, and IT production environments, with a strong focus on mitigating risks and ensuring compliance.

  1. Governance Implementation:
    • Develop and enforce governance frameworks that align with corporate policies and industry standards.
    • Design and implement policies, procedures, and controls to ensure effective governance of IT production activities.
    • Regularly review and update governance frameworks to adapt to evolving regulations and business needs.
    • Provide guidance and training to IT staff on governance policies and procedures.
  2. Risk Management:
    • Identify, assess, and prioritize risks within the IT Production environment, including operational, security, and compliance risks.
    • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential impacts on IT operations.
    • Monitor risk management processes and ensure risks are effectively communicated and managed across the organization.
    • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to ensure ongoing risk management effectiveness.
  3. Compliance and Audit:
    • Ensure IT Production activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies.
    • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring that all findings are addressed and remediated in a timely manner.
    • Maintain up-to-date documentation of compliance and risk management activities.
    • Act as the point of contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors concerning governance and risk management.
  4. Incident Management:
    • Develop and maintain incident management processes to respond to and recover from IT production incidents.
    • Lead incident response activities, ensuring that incidents are effectively managed and lessons learned are incorporated into governance and risk practices.
    • Ensure timely reporting and communication of incidents to relevant stakeholders.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Collaborate with IT leadership, production teams, and other stakeholders to ensure governance and risk management practices are aligned with business objectives.
    • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on governance and risk management activities.
    • Engage with external partners, vendors, and regulatory bodies as needed to manage risks and ensure compliance.
  6. Continuous Improvement:
    • Monitor emerging risks and regulatory changes that may impact IT Production operations.
    • Continuously improve governance and risk management processes based on industry trends, best practices, and lessons learned from incidents.
    • Foster a culture of risk awareness and proactive risk management across the IT Production organization.

Your present skillset:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in governance, risk management, or a related role within IT or IT Production environments.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, industry standards (e.g., ISO, NIST), and risk management frameworks.
  • Experience in incident management and response.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams.
