Your Role:

The Global Business Analytics internship program has been designed to provide the student with opportunities to work on real-world applications and solutions to business problems encountered by a wide range of departments across SolarWinds. From Finance, Marketing, through Operations, Sales, Support and Customer Service, the student has the option to work with any, or all, of these teams to develop business intelligence solutions that provide insight to operations, performance management and strategy.

Working principally in Tableau to develop data visualizations, the intern will also gain opportunities to work with relational databases (SQL, Azure), CRM Tools (Salesforce, NetSuite), data governance (data hygiene, audit reporting, data source verification) and delve into Advanced Analytics topics such as data wrangling, statistical models and prediction (R Studio, Python, Excel).

Core Responsibilities:

· Assist in creating and maintaining dashboards and reports using Tableau

· Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure their alignment with business goals.

· Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Product, Finance, and operations to understand their data needs & assist in translating business requirements into technical specifications for BI solutions.

· Maintain detailed documentation of report structures, metrics definitions, and calculation methods to ensure clarity and consistency

· Ensure version control on all documents to track updates or changes to metrics and data sources over time.

· Support ad-hoc data analysis requests from different departments.

· Help automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

· Ensure a high level of data quality  by participating in data validation exercises
