Your future role within QRT:

The successful candidate will join the global infrastructure team at QRT. Working with application and support teams, you will be responsible for engineering the Linux platform for our rapidly growing global Linux estate which runs the bulk of the company’s trading activities. The role has a strong focus on automation, and you will be responsible for providing the tools, processes and standards we use to manage and expand our Linux environment.

Your present skillset:

• In depth knowledge of Linux (preferably RedHat distributions), with experience in building and administering trading platforms.
• Extensive experience with architecture and long-term evolution of automation / configuration management systems such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef.
• Experience with monitoring / observability tools such as Splunk, Elastic, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Solid programming skills in Python and Bash. C/C++ is a bonus.
• Detailed understanding of server network stack, network protocols (e.g. TCP, UDP,IGMP), LAN and WAN technologies.
• Experience of performance analysis and tuning.
• Experience working in a collaborative development environment using source control.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Good team player with a willingness to help others.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Extensive experience with writing documentation
• Extensive experience with build/release management: packaging, software repositories, C/C++ compilation, customization of open source
