The HR team is continuing to expand in London and we are looking for a highly skilled lawyer in UK/European employment matters to manage employee relations and ensure compliance with employment laws across various jurisdictions.

Your future role within QRT:

You will have the opportunity to build strong relationships within the business and provide guidance on a wide range of employment issues in the EMEA region with a particular focus on the UK, Denmark and DIFC initially. You will be responsible for:

  • Advising and working on non-contentious and contentious employment-related matters, including recruitment, performance management, terminations, restrictive covenants, and data privacy
  • Partnering with local HR Business Partners to manage employment related investigations, including background research, investigative interviews, and debrief meetings
  • Staying apprised of and advising on changes in applicable laws and regulations in employment law
  • Working closely with the HR Business Partners and HR Operations teams to develop and improve employee relations strategies and procedures that align with the company’s objectives and legal requirements
  • Preparing summaries or written debriefs for the appropriate stakeholders on employee relation matters

Your present skillset:

The successful candidate will be flexible, self-sufficient, organised and able to work collaboratively in a highly cross-functional environment. You will actively take ownership of employment matters; and will consistently demonstrate solid follow-through. You will be:

  • A qualified solicitor with 10+ years PQE in employment law at a law firm and/or investment fund or tech firm
  • Substantial knowledge and experience drafting, negotiating and reviewing employment documentation (for example, employment contracts and settlement agreements), as well as experience in contentious employment matters, including litigation matters
  • Knowledge of regulations related to employment law in, various countries in the EMEA region and beyond, with a particular focus on the UK, Denmark and DIFC initially
  • High degree of empathy balanced against an ability to provide direct feedback
