Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a talented, self-directed EMEA Event Marketing Manager to develop and grow the cloud computing businesses in Europe, Middle East and Africa. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in an exciting, industry leading technology business.

The EMEA Event Marketing Manager role is responsible for developing, improving, executing and measuring highly impactful B2B event programs. This spans from large-scale customer events (AWS-owned events or AWS presence at trade shows) to medium-scale and smaller, high touch events.

Key job responsibilities
- Define event strategy in alignment with key stakeholders, working backwards from business and marketing strategies, priorities and goals
- Own, plan and deliver events end-to-end while staying within budget, leading and coordinating x-functional teams and delivering against set goals
- Serve as event project manager, responsibilities include, but are not limited to: pre-event consultation and planning, venue selection, vendor management, agenda development and show flow, event promotion and registration, printing and shipping, budget management, event staffing, on-site event management
- Post-event, drive follow-up actions to ensure goal achievement and gather feedback to inform future strategy and delivery
- Simplify processes, establish scalable mechanisms and drive innovative customer experiences

About the team
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

The EMEA Event & Sponsorship team is a talented, experienced, diverse and fun team that is distributed across the regions they are covering (Europe, Middle East, Africa).

- Experience in developing, owning and executing successful B2B event programs end to end
- Experience in driving scale and event enablement across local teams
- Prior experience working with cross-functional and international teams.
- Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
- A willingness to travel and ability to work independently and autonomously, and work across time zones- Masters’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
- Experience in driving innovative brand presence at large B2B trade shows
- Experience in managing events similar to AWS Summits and AWS Cloud Days
- Work history in a (global) tech company
