About the role

Roku, the innovative streaming company, is looking for an exceptional Senior Workplace Services Lead to manage our UK office in Cambridge. 

We need someone who is proactive and confident in their own ability, with an eye for detail. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering an industry leading workplace experience to over 240+ employees.

What you will be doing

  • Be responsible for ensuring the delivery a continuous exceptional workplace experience
  • Support the Regional Workplace Experience Manager in developing and executing Roku’s workplace strategy
  • Manage the workplace experience team delivering day-to-day office operations to ensure an efficient, supportive, and productive environment including vendors and building management.
  • Communicate effectively with all employees and senior stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships and providing exceptional customer service
  • Take the lead to address local facilities-related concerns and communicate status/updates effectively include the use of an online ticketing system
  • Manage the Cambridge workplace services budget
  • Local vendor selection & management including contract negotiation and payment management
  • Build and support all aspects of the employee experience, including internal events and programs, with a focus on employee engagement and satisfaction
  • Support the Shipping & Receiving Lead to schedule shipments and assist with loading/unloading shipments
  • Inspect facilities to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Ensure our office spaces are comfortable and functional, and meet the needs of our teams, including coordinating office maintenance processes and liaising with building management as necessary
  • Managing and overseeing all workplace vendors and contractors, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong relationships to ensure quality services (SLA’s) are provided
  • Project management, including managing office moves, relocations, program roll-outs, and other workplace-related projects
  • Be part of the response team for emergency situations (equipment failures, fire, evacuation, etc.)
  • Be flexible in taking on other duties required by the Regional Workplace Experience Manager.

We're excited if you have

  • A minimum of 5 years plus experience in a similar workplace experience or facilities manager role with a proven track record of success in managing workplace operations and facilities
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and contractors
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and employee support
  • Ability to multi-task and quickly assess situations to determine required action and/or response.
  • Proven record of building and delivering a team spirit that engages, supports, and encourages colleagues and that drives toward a cooperative, cohesive team dynamic.
  • Highly self-motivated, persistent, dependable, and self-sufficient.
  • Strong networking skills, building robust relationships throughout the organization
